Curling is a team sports with similarities to bowling and shuffleboard. Curling played by two teams, of four players each, on a rectungular sheet or carefully prepared ice. Teams take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones down the ice towards the target (called the house). Two sweepers (players) with brooms accompany each rock (stone) and use their best judgement, along with direction from their teammates, to help direct the stone to their resting place in the target (house).
