Sledding (sled-riding) is a common activity in wintry areas. Its is undertaken in a prone or seated position requiring a device or vehicle generally known as "Sled". It is an Olympic sport - the Luge, and Bobsledding, which are based on sled principles and developed in the same time (1870's) and place(St.Maritz) by much the same circle of people, mainly English tourist with an interested assist from the worthy craftsmen of that Swiss village.
